The Root Gallery at RL Photo is pleased to present Nothing is Totally Alone, a three person exhibition curated by ONE Arts, considering instances of isolation and interconnection. Featuring the work of Ann Barlow, Jessica Lewis, and Katie Loesel, the exhibition emphasizes the importance of light, space, and perspective. 

Each artist approaches their subject with focused and heightened observation, whether by separating subject from object, or by emphasizing the interrelationships between. In her photographs, Ann Barlow explores stillness in spaces that are at rest. Katie Loesel uses gesture, mark making, and pathways to record the consciousness of events. Jessica Lewis isolates each object in her paintings, concentrating on a singular subject in intensified detail, laboring over the impact of light.
