Joshua Hosterman earned his BFA in sculpture at Minneapolis College of Art and Design and has additionally studied social sciences and economics. He comes from a family of crafty technical types and has been making objects by hand and machine his whole life.
Josh practices visual and community art that focuses on utilitarian healing and empowerment. He has operated a teaching wood shop for inner city kids, worked in the preservation bindery at a large public library, hosted custom sex toy crafting workshops, opened an anarchist community center, and received several public art grants. He is an enthusiast of the precision of the human hand, eye, and intuition.
In addition to working with Art Shape Mammoth, he is a tattoo artist and owner of Bronze Eye Tattoo in Loveland, CO
